pressure = inspiration!

So I've got this paper due, and I'm using up extra days to write it. It's all due to the stress that makes me hide away by reading almost compulsively. This has one major drawback: I don't get anything done, and the deadline remains the same.
But it occurred to me: why not write this history/research paper in the style of a story, with random quotes thrown in to make it last as long as it needs to last, and longer? Considering I'm at really the very beginning of my paper and on page two in the writewritewrite mode where I don't worry about paragraph format, it seems my prediction of writing a hella lot is going to come true.
Then I hit the proverbial dead end, which is entirely my fault for trying this so late at night with a story that's not my own. And I decided to write this.
Procrastination accomplished, back to the paper.
