Speaking of an old theater teacher of mine:
Dad: [He]'s an intellectual.
Me: He always picked such depressing plays...
Dad: That's what I said.
He's also returning again and again to "lithe just like elastic" and finding more reasons and ways in which that simile doesn't work.
Well, too bad, because it's already been published, produced, and sung.
