sureiThough it caused me (due to a misunderstanding) to assiduously avoid mentioning my middle name (the one I use now) for several years, I am very, very fond of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, and have in fact read it so many times that it is a fair way to being entirely memorised (which, unfortunately, somewhat spoils it for me when I try to reread it once more).
So someone asked me, had I read any P&P fanfiction?
Honestly, I was blindsided. I hadn't even considered the possibility of fanfiction. I therefore didn't know if there was any, or where, and consequently had not read any.
I have now.
And it is always, always so weird to see my name going around and doing things. It keeps on bringing up muddled me/Elizabeth slash, and I'm sorry, but no. I do not approve. Me/Bingly slash also is a no.
So. Have I read any P&P fanfiction? Yes. Do I like it? Some of the writing is very good, but I don't think I'll be able to really appreciate it until I can manage to dissociate Darcy from Darcy.
