So. The scarf is done. I suppose it's a good, if ironic thing, that I find making fringe soothing, since a scarf doesn't look complete to me without it.
And now I'm thinking of making a scraps scarf, and find myself in the unenviable position of having to somehow make this work when all I have is a small ball of variegated blue-and-purple thick, light-weight wool, a larger bundle of rather ugly green-and-pink mohair, a dismaying amount of pale pastel, slippery thin ribbon, roughly as much "fire" cotton tape as the purple stuff, and a small mass of white stuff that I can only describe as twisted eyelash with a helper thread and colorful tags at regular intervals of the rainbow variety.
And about two yards of black ribbon that is not yarn but wound up in the same bag anyway.
