After giving up on it, I decided to check, just in case... And therefore I can now continue, because giving up was unnecessary.
1) Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2) I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature.
3) You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4) You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5) When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. What's your favorite language? Is there a reason for that, or is it just a gut reaction?
... my initial response was "Armenian," but that's just because one time on the tube, when my father and I were talking to each other in our made up language that consists almost entirely of random consonants and vowels, a woman asked us if we were speaking that. That aside! My favorite to listen to is probably German, my favorite to sing is Hebrew, and my favorite to speak is Japanese, although Sanskrit will probably take over once I actually get around to learning it.
2. High fantasy, urban fantasy, cyberpunk, science-fiction, or supernatural? Combination?
All of them! If it's other than mundane, I'll read it, and I've probably at least tried to write it. Truthfully, I've been in the SF&F world for so long that the lines are too blurred for me to care.
3. If you were trapped in a shoujo manga, what role would you play?
Shoujo? I think... the goth/punk art student who only shows up to declare dreadful news and/or opinions in a cheerful voice. She (or he, for that matter) appears unexpectedly, when no one's looking and is otherwise seen occasionally in the distance as a general lump of black. With nobody near by.
4. Someone gives you a hundred dollar gift voucher - what store is it for and what do you buy?
Last month it would have been Victoria's Secret, and I would have used it to buy bras. Now that I have my new bras, chances are it's either for a bookstore or a fabric store. Of course, if someone just gave me a hundred dollars right now, I'd use it to have my sewing machine retuned.
5. What's your favorite film? Would you participate in it even if you could?
Film = live action. This cuts out a lot of options. It's been so long since I watched actors on a screen that I don't think I can remember. It was probably a documentary. ... There was one production of The Tempest that was done with puppets. There was also one of Twelfth Night at the same time, and which I think I liked better, but that was... ten or eleven years ago, now. While I might enjoy participating, I think it's better that I didn't, so I can appreciate the story of the film without the various stories of all the people involved, and the story of the production of the film, getting in the way.
