sureiI'm being silly after reading Naruto chapter 291. Full of spoilers and ridiculous speculation.

darksea: but Sasuke won't want to come, and there will be a dozen or so chapters on that fight

darksea: which will bring Orochimaru back out in order to mock him

darksea: but they won't pay any attention to him, because by that time Sasuke will have been perverted enough to not care about the Uchiha at all
darksea: and he'll try really really really hard to kill Naruto and fail (because Naruto is the hero)
darksea: and Naruto will have to kill him in order to release him from Orochimaru's (dead) grasp
darksea: when he finally comes back to his senses
darksea: and Itachi will carry the nearly-mortally-wounded Naruto back to Konoha, where he (Itachi) will receive a pardon, and he (Naruto) will be named Tsunade's successor

darksea: of course, during the course of the battle with Sasuke, Naruto will gain control over more and more tails
darksea: which will make the whole story entirely perfect.

darksea: they were either destroyed in the fight, or taken care of by Itachi
