late night music ambush
Nov. 17th, 2011 02:26 amBetween the less-than-studio quality of the recording and the fact that I can hear each mistake in excruciating detail and it's horribly embarrassing, I don't usually enjoy listening to songs I'm part of all that often.
But.
Our version of "Begin the Beguine" is the only one I can find that doesn't have soloists or directors or whatever taking liberties with the tempo (it's a dance song, people, and besides, I'm really not as impressed with your long high notes as you are) and whatnot, and aside from maybe two videos on youtube there is no other of "No Thank You John". And I like both of those songs, well enough to have them in my regular (if massive) playlist, and to stop what I'm doing and listen to them when they come up, too.
Which is the backstory for what I'm debating right now, which is whether or not to share them.
