It took me a while to realize that a major reason why I stopped taking French (after seven years - I don't think I've even mentioned that I took it at all on here before) is because I never enjoyed reading in it. And then writing... yeah, I've always sucked at writing in French. It's like there's this wall that comes up between me and the words.
Don't get me wrong, I can still read it. I don't think I can really write it at all any more - it's more of a spoken language to me anyway, and I know I probably won't lose it completely unless I try really hard, simply because I started pre-puberty - but I understand surprisingly much reading. It's just... cold to me.
Of course, Japanese, I look at it and go, woah, kanji................ oh yeah, why did I stall on this again? I think it's because they tried to teach me whole language reading, and I'm slightly dyslexic.
Eh, I'm word-I-can't-remember. Delirious. Ignore me.
