just when you thought it was safe...
Nov. 9th, 2004 05:48 pmThings happen suddenly.
It's fall now, at last. The trees that can are finally starting to change their colors, though most of them seem to be going straight from vibrant, alive green, to brown on the ground without anything in between. I'm not sure how that happens.
And Frank shaved his head.
This is the guy who was Jesus for Halloween last year, simply by putting on white clothes and a "hi, my name is," sticker. He looked like the guy even when he cut his hair, with or without a beard. And he shaved. His. Head.
It took me a moment to recognize him, and then I, literally, said, "Oh my God."
I never say that. But this was a momentous, sudden occasion, and it merited it. I practically collapsed against the salad bar.
And you know what? He still looks holy.
