silence is golden
Sep. 17th, 2004 07:51 pmI had intended to do a number of things this afternoon: go to OFA, go to the bank, etc, etc. Unfortunately, almost immediately after leaving lunch at 1:00, when I decided to take a break, I fell asleep despite the bottom half of my bed being occupied by books and such, and didn't wake up for a good four hours. Since I knew that my most pressing concern, OFA, would be closed already, and that I could do everything else over the weekend, I wound up doing absoltuely nothing. It made for a very nice break, especially since, although my door was open the entire time, my bed seems to be completely out of view of the door so I have been completely undisturbed. This is in fact the first time since the morning that I sat at my desk, or in any other easiy-seen place.
Solitude, when purposely arranged, is a truly wonderful thing. I feel so much better.
