I found a new RP, and I'm having lots of fun there. Yay! Got hired, getting accepted despite my character's extreme differences, becoming a part of those-who-game instead of those-newbies (even if I'm technically still a n00b. Oh well.)

Having fun, basically. But it requires pretty much constant vigilance when I'm on, excepting the break periods when there's no one to talk to because I can't be in lots of places at the same time. Darn. I'm on one right now, and waiting for only a couple more minutes before going off to do something else. Something in RP.

Dance concert, yay.

Notice the sarcasm?

(It's one of those so-hot-the-breeze-is-too-warm days.) The dance concert wasn't all good - there were the occasional moments of embarrasment, ah well. But! They definitely knew how to end it.

Let me explain:

There are certain dances that are infectious. Salsa - good salsa - is one of them. So are traditional-type just plain let's-have-fun African dances done to drums. Why is it so infectious? Because it's not a set pattern or anything pretty that you really have to learn. You just hear the beat, and you move to it.

They ended with a traditional-type just plain let's-have-fun African dance done to drums. Whoo - it was really hard to pay attention to the lights.

Three days - two days really (Wednesday night, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning I woke up and realized it) to convert a pretty nasty burn into the kind of tan people work ages on. Strange.

This is why sunburns don't bother me. On the times I get them - and when it happens, it happens, whether you want it to or not, and fast (as best as I can figure, 20 minutes? this time) - they don't last. But so often I just don't get them.

Really, a couple days of discomfort are something I can put up with, easy.
